[Watts_New.FTW] [Strachan121102.ftw] Myrtle was born at home delivered by mid-wife, Elizia Branham at 7 PM on January 20, 1924. According to family stories, Myrtle died after falling down a flight of stairs at school on September 11, 1935. Her injuries were severe and she was admitted to the M.E. Hospital on September 13, 1935 for hemorrhage and shock, internal injuries and a ruptured kidney. She was in the hospital from 91335 to 92035. After an operation nephrectomy to remove the damaged kidney on September 20, 1935 she died. In 1980 when Myrtle's mother, Aunt Clara died, she was disinterred and moved with both parents to Johnson Memorial Park, Pikeville, KY. Her death is recorded in Pike County Records, Volume 047.
